From an answer to understanding

Use the tools. Do the thinking.

AI can help you explore an idea, challenge an assumption, or work through a confusing concept. Follow the instructions for each assignment, verify what a tool tells you, and be ready to explain the reasoning in your own words.

  1. Start with your own attempt. Write down what you think the concept means and the question you need to resolve.
  2. Work through an example. Use your notes, a discussion, or an allowed AI tool to test your understanding. Check claims against course materials and reliable sources.
  3. Explain and apply it. Close the tool, write the idea in your own words, and explain how it would change a marketing decision. Bring what remains unclear to class.

Fall 2024

I'm grateful to UTRGV for offering this class and embracing Al as part of the curriculum. Al is the future, and having a class led by an outstanding professor like Mr. Garrido is remarkable. In my four years of college, this class has had the biggest impact on how I view marketing. Mr. Garrido's fresh approach to social media and eMarketing has transformed my perspective. If his goal was to inspire us to think differently, he has definitely succeeded. Thank you for this incredible experience!

Spring 2024

Mr. Garrido is an excellent professor. He clearly cares about his topics and his students. I hope the department will recognize him for his teaching abilities his effective communication skills. I hope more students will sign up for his class and get to experience his learning techniques and his classroom environment. Kudos to the department for letting him be a professor. We need more professors like him at UTRGV.

Fall 2023

Professor Garrido is a great instructor who is very passionate about what he teaches. I found his course very educational as he gave us several hands-on activities relating to e-marketing, creating ads, blog posts, and how to access analytics for personal websites. I learned a lot from his class and would highly recommend him as an instructor.
